Culture ATX Salon sits in Bee Cave at 3900 Ranch Rd. 620 S., suite 102, in the Lakeway and Bee Cave area of Austin's hill country. The salon describes itself as a luxurious salon and spa and as one of Austin's top salons. It was founded by sisters Natalie Zetino and Jessica Riddersen.

Balayage is a major focus. The salon offers it in many named variations, from caramel, chocolate, copper and red tones to pastel, rainbow, ash blond and California blond looks, plus balayage bangs, ends and pixie cuts. Other color options include foilayage, babylights, twilighting, root blur, lived-in color and ombre-style looks. Balayage costs more than traditional highlights, but the salon says it grows out with less upkeep. A first visit can take a large part of the day, and reaching the result you want may take several sessions over a few months.

Culture ATX runs a Stylist-in-Residence program for experienced stylists who want to work at the salon for a set period. Stylists in the program are set up as contractors and paid on a tiered commission. They must charge at least the salon price and may set their own prices above it.

Beyond hair, the salon offers lash extensions, lash lifts, lash perms, lash and brow tinting, brow lamination and brow waxing. Its facial menu includes dermaplaning, a hydrogel facial and hydrogel facial mask, and a maskne facial. Spray tans, nail services and bridal styling round out the menu.

Clients are asked to arrive 10 minutes early. The salon has a strict cancellation policy, with details on its cancellation and late policy page. Prices do not include tips, which can be given in cash or by Venmo. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and cash are accepted, but checks are not. The salon is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm, staying open until 7:00pm on Thursday, and on Saturday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. It is closed Sunday and Monday.
