Spa at the Lake has operated since 1999. Owner Melissa Cush joined the salon in 2005. The owner says staff stay much longer than is typical in the industry, and the salon says many current providers have been on the team for more than ten years. The salon describes its reputation as built on service and highly satisfied guests.

About

On the hair side, the salon offers cuts for children, men and women, color from simple all-over shades to partial and full highlights, balayage or ombre, and root touch-ups with highlights. Perms, Brazilian Blowout and Keratin Complex treatments are also available, along with Kérastase conditioning treatments. Complimentary hair consultations are offered, and hair prices are starting rates that vary by stylist. Color correction, special occasion styling, straightening and extensions are priced after a consultation.

Skin services include classic and specialty facials such as European, Éminence Organic, Repêchage four-layer anti-aging, 02 Lift and vitamin C firming facials, plus a Teen Facial for oily, congested skin. Skin therapy uses Dermalogica products, including the Pro Peel system, and the Deluxe HydraFacial uses Vortex Fusion Technology. Diamond-tip microdermabrasion, glycolic peels, LED and high frequency can be booked alone or added to a facial, and series of six are priced for repeat visits. The salon describes its Éminence Organics skin care line as award winning.

Body services include Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, ashiatsu, maternity and couples massages, plus Sole Therapy, a foot scrub with reflexology and massage. Aromatherapy can be added to any massage, and each treatment room has a private steam shower; guests are asked to mention these when booking. Body wraps and scrubs are offered, and several packages pair massage, facials and manicures or pedicures. Package prices include an 18% gratuity, and package durations are listed as elapsed time.

The salon is certified as a CND Shellac salon, and it describes its Shellac gel polish as the best in gel polish. Nail services include manicures, pedicures and add-ons such as French and paraffin. Brows and lashes, threading and waxing round out the menu.

The salon hosts birthday parties, company outings, wedding showers, bachelorette parties and ladies' days out. Groups may bring a picnic lunch or arrange a catered lunch, and the outdoor patio overlooking the Yaupon golf course is available for group events. Calling three to five weeks ahead is recommended for groups. Online booking covers the client and one guest; to book more people, book separately or call. Same-day appointments and availability questions are handled by calling or texting the salon.

Skin therapists are trained in Dermalogica methods and use its products, and hair prices are starting rates set by each stylist.
