Craft Salon is on John R Road in Hazel Park, and Natasha Vranic is one of its co-founders and a stylist there. The team includes stylists with different strengths, from vintage-inspired upstyles and pixie cuts to fantasy color, blonding, curly hair and men's cuts, so clients can usually find someone whose work matches what they want. Booking starts by text, email or phone. Desk staff can help choose services when a client sends a current photo of their hair and an inspiration photo, and in-person consultations can be booked. Stylist price lists are minimum estimates that can change with the time and materials a service needs. Wedding hair is offered; clients email for details and availability, and stylists can travel to the client for an additional fee. Parking includes a few designated spaces behind the building, spots along the fence, and street parking on the front and on the side street, Mahan. The rear lot is shared with a neighboring business. Color work covers base color, all over color, balayage, toner, highlights, bleach retouch, full bleach, vivid refresh and vivid full color. Haircuts run from short to transformation lengths, and specialty services include wedding and event styling and gender affirming haircuts. The salon is an exclusive partner of Rogue & Company and sells the R+Co line, and Olaplex and Hairstory products can be ordered online and shipped. Appointments need a non-refundable deposit that is credited toward the service. Deposits are $25 for 30 minutes to one hour, $50 for two hours and $100 for three hours or more. Rescheduling without losing the deposit is possible up to 48 hours ahead for shorter visits, 72 hours for two-hour visits and 96 hours for visits of three hours or more. Arriving 15 minutes or more late requires rescheduling and voids the deposit. A free bang trim is available within reason for clients who book with the stylist who cut their hair, and a full haircut is needed if six months have passed since the last one.

Services are planned with the client from a current hair photo and an inspiration photo, with in-person consultations available when a client wants more time to talk through options.
