Rosewater Salon began as an idea developed in spring 2022 and opened in 2023. Pricing is presented as transparent, with no hidden fees and no tipping expected, and the salon offers genderless services.

New clients fill out a New Client Form and can book a complimentary consultation through GlossGenius. Visits are by appointment only, and services can be combined in one appointment. For makeup, clients are asked to arrive with a clean, freshly washed and moisturized face; for facials and brow or lash services, a makeup-free face is requested. Street parking is free on both sides of Woodward, Marshall and Hazelhurst streets.

Bridal work is a major focus. Bridal packages include a virtual or in-person consultation, and the Bridal Preview is an optional, expanded session of roughly 1.5 to 2 hours with a customized trial run. A bridal prep facial, recommended two to three days before the wedding, uses gua sha, cryo-globes and gentle extractions. Bridal services can take place in the salon or on location, with travel fees for on-location visits, and bookings take a 50% deposit.

Other offerings include makeup lessons for teens and adults, plus gender-affirming makeup lessons and guidance. The salon does not offer heavy chemical services such as perms or relaxers. It vets each product line for performance, ingredients, ethical business practices and price before using it. Gift cards come in set amounts or a custom amount and are final once sold. Appointments missed or cancelled within 24 hours carry a fee of the full service total, and there is a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals.
