A visit for any color, texture or special occasion service, or for hair extensions, starts with a consultation first. Hair and extension consultations are 15 minutes and cost $25 each. At booking, the salon matches each client with a professional suited to the service needed.

Appointments can be booked online at any hour, and clients can reach the salon by text or phone. Walk-ins are welcome, but the salon is usually fully booked, so a service is not guaranteed. Changes or cancellations need 72 hours' notice, or the full scheduled price is charged. Hourly color, texture and special occasion services require a deposit of half the service total when booked. Clients should bring only the people being serviced, and anyone with a concern is asked to reach out to the salon before leaving a public review. Curly-haired clients are asked to book the curly women's haircut for timing, while those happy with air-drying under a hood dryer or a blowout can book the standard women's cut.

Clients are matched at booking with a professional chosen by the salon's Special Agents for the service needed, and the team builds relationships through in-person conversation to understand how each client wants to be seen.

Floor-to-ceiling windows bring daylight into an open plan inside an original warehouse, finished with blackened steel, wood planking and sandblasted glass; the salon says it uses non-toxic building materials and repurposed wood and steel.
