Liz Wilson founded Citizen Mane after building her career at high-profile salons in Boston and Atlanta. She has been licensed since 2001 and has spent the last four years in Florida building a clientele. The studio says it brings over 20 years of expertise to its work.
Every new client begins with a consultation covering hair goals, current condition and lifestyle, which leads to a customized plan. The studio works with all hair types and textures and gives particular attention to curly hair.
Services span haircuts, color, highlights, styling and extensions. Pricing is described as all-inclusive, and the studio is gratuity-free, so tips are not expected. A free online guide, the Florida Hair Survival Guide, covers humidity, hard water and mineral buildup.
Booking at least three weeks ahead is recommended, especially for color and major transformations, and new extension clients need a consultation first. Cancellations need 48 hours' notice; later cancellations may be charged half the service, and same-day cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full cost.
Each client gets a customized plan built around their hair goals, starting from a consultation.
