Carenza has served the greater Milwaukee community for almost four decades. Cutting and color are its main focus, and the team aims for high quality across every service department and for clients to feel comfortable and welcome. The salon describes its team as a curated group of artists and its stylist training program as one of the most comprehensive and advanced in Wisconsin.

Cutting draws on the English, French and Italian cutting systems to create individualized cuts and styles. Color services range from subtle and natural tones and fresh tones to dimensional looks, gloss restoration, gray coverage or enhancement, and bold color. Clients can bring their own color ideas and challenges for the designers to work through.

Shampoos take place in the Blue Lounge, a dedicated area with Shiatsu roller beds that ease tension in the back. Scalp massages there are given by designers who have been trained in-house.

Weekday hours are 8 AM to 8 PM Monday through Thursday and 8 AM to 6 PM on Friday, with Saturday by appointment only and hours that vary, so it is best to call. New clients provide a credit card that is kept on file to hold appointments. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged up to 50% and no-shows up to 100%, both to that card.
