Destiny Ward founded Browtique more than ten years ago. The studio is on South Drexel Avenue in central Bexley, beside an ice cream shop and a bakery. Parking is on the street with a two-hour limit, in the back of the building, or in the adjacent lot behind it.

Brows are shaped freehand for each client, without stencils, so the result suits that person's face rather than a standard template. Brow Training uses a guide drawn in the brow area at each visit so the hairs grow into the chosen shape; this usually takes about two months to settle.

The menu covers brows, lashes, microshading, waxing and add-ons. Clients are asked to book a consultation first, and the initial session runs about two hours including shape design, numbing and the procedure. A patch test is required 24 hours before tint, lamination, lash tint, lash lift, lash flares and microshading, or a waiver can be signed on the day; the patch test is a free 10-minute appointment.

Body and full-body waxing happen in the private spa area. Brazilian wax uses a hybrid wax aimed at unwanted hair rather than skin, and hair should be about the length of a grain of rice. The salon says it uses high-end products to guarantee quality, and states its products are free of formaldehyde, parabens, latex and gluten, cruelty-free and hypoallergenic.

The Browtique Young Entrepreneurs cohort is a program for young women, meeting Monday to Wednesday from 3 to 7 PM at $89 per week. It is publicly funded, and families can check whether they qualify for state funds. Hours are Sunday 11 AM to 3 PM and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10 AM to 6 PM, closed Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Browtique combines freehand shaping tailored to each face with an individual approach to every client and education about options and aftercare.
