Kimberley Bosso founded BOSSO Makeup and leads its work as lead makeup artist. She has worked in the makeup industry for almost two decades, starting with makeup for photographers in Hollywood and then for pop musicians and Popstar Magazine. She later worked in editorial makeup in Paris and London, and has since been lead makeup artist for fashion weeks in New York, Paris, Milan and Los Angeles.

The business operates from two locations: a Beverly Hills school on North Robertson Boulevard and a Tampa Bay location on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. The Beverly Hills intensive school has been running since 2008, and the business describes it as the first makeup school in Beverly Hills and its training as the best makeup training in Los Angeles, brought to Tampa. The business also says its courses are priced well below most traditional makeup schools.

Makeup sessions can be booked for red carpet events, special occasions and everyday events, and airbrush and wedding makeup are offered, including bridal makeup in Tampa. Online lessons run from a one-hour lesson for $249 and a two-hour lesson for $449 to a one-day workshop for $799. Lessons are built around the client's look and daily routine and begin with a review of their makeup bag, and one-on-one and small group lessons are available online and in person.

Intensive courses run for two, four or six days, with a maximum of four students per class, and classes start at 10am and run about seven hours a day. A two-day course costs $2,500, the four-day course costs $5,000 with a $1,000 deposit, and the six-day course costs $7,500 with a $2,500 deposit. The four-day course combines the Essential and Artist material, and the six-day course adds the Master material. Tools, products and models are provided, there is no kit fee, and students finish with a professional certificate in traditional and airbrush makeup. Deposits are non-refundable and the balance is due at least a week before the start date; courses must be paid in full before they begin. No financial aid is offered. Cards can be paid through the website or by phone, with PayPal, Venmo, Zelle and cash also accepted, and international students usually pay by wire transfer.

The Bosso cosmetic line includes vegan products described as having anti-aging properties, along with other products, all paraben-free and cruelty-free. The business also offers makeovers to charities including Stand Up To Cancer and APLA.
