BOND Downtown

BOND has two Hoboken locations: Midtown at 425 Washington St and Downtown at 44 Hudson Pl, third floor, which is the flagship. The business is part of the Bond Beauty Group, which brings its salon products and services under one company. The salon describes itself as Hoboken's elite hair salon and describes its service as education based.

Stylists work at three levels: Art Director, Creative Director and Top Stylist. Art Director stylists are graduates of the Bond Essentials Program and have passed a formal Showcase Presentation. Prices vary by stylist title, reflecting experience, advanced training and certifications, demand and leadership contributions, and each level includes two internal pricing tiers.

Coppola and extension services are tailored to each client. Extensions come from Bellami and Glam Seamless. A free consultation is requested before booking a Coppola or extension appointment, and Coppola bookings take a $100 deposit that is refundable and applied to the service on the day. New clients are asked to share images before booking so a virtual consultation can be arranged with a stylist or colorist.

Color services do not include a blow dry, which can be added with a stylist when one is available. When an apprentice is available, a rough dry is provided with color so clients can check the front pieces. Payment is accepted in cash and all major credit cards for in-salon services. Tipping in cash is encouraged, and staff Venmo codes are provided at the end of service.

Clients who are dissatisfied with a hair service may book one redo within 7 days of the original appointment, provided the hair is in the same condition as when they left. Redos are scheduled through salon reception, and the salon does not offer refunds for hair services. Clients can text the salon at any time, and the front desk responds during opening hours. Bond Academy offers advanced hair training classes for beauty professionals covering cutting, styling and color.
