Bloomfield Beauty Bar

Bloomfield Beauty Bar is a lash and brow studio in East Long Beach, owned by licensed esthetician Lee Kiet, who began working in beauty in 2018. The studio's main focus is Korean lash lifts, lash extensions and brow lamination.

Lash extensions are split into two services. Full sets use individual lashes and are for clients who have no current extensions. Fills are for current clients adding extensions, and for clients whose extensions have grown out and were removed. Fills need at least half of the existing extensions left to avoid an extra fee, and are generally booked every two to four weeks depending on aftercare and natural lash growth. Foreign lash fills require approval, so clients should message or call before booking. A wispy add-on is available for full sets and fills for an extra $10. The Korean lash lift uses an upgraded formula and method to lift and curl natural lashes while keeping them nourished, and a tint for darker-looking lashes can be added for $10. The first lash lift comes with an after-care oil.

Brow lamination is a semi-permanent treatment that sets natural brow hairs to straighten and lift them, lasting four to eight weeks. Brow stains add color to the brow hairs and skin, lasting two to ten days on the skin and three to six weeks on the brow hairs. Waxing is done with hard wax, which the studio says suits all skin types. Lash removal and fine line tattoos are also offered, with tattoo pricing varying.

The studio also teaches. The Brow Wax Workshop covers brow mapping with string and brow waxing, including hard wax application and product selection. Beginner's Lash training is a two-day course on lash fundamentals, safety, application, removal and the business side of lash work. A Korean Lash Lift + Tint course covers lash anatomy, the science of the lift, supplies and live model practice, and a Brow Lamination Masterclass covers brow anatomy, lamination science, shaping, hybrid dye and waxing. Courses start at $850 and take five and a half hours or more. Trainings include a certificate of completion, coffee and lunch, a student kit and manual, live model practice and ongoing support.
