A visit is built around the blow out. Guests sit in chairs at the styling bar, and the blow out includes a wash. Signature styles run from a classic blow out to runway-inspired curls, and there are named hair looks such as Sleek, Executive Sweet, Uptown Curl, The Diffused, Red Carpet, Holly Would and Pillow Talk. Add-ons include deep conditioning, a head massage, a braid, and several Color Wow and UNITE treatments. Clients can also book a Custom Look, either a wash-and-blow-out version in half-up, updo or down styles, or an updo only without wash, which the site suggests washing the night before. Guests with extensions pay a small extra charge for Custom Looks.

Makeup follows a similar idea. Each location offers five signature makeup looks, named Cabana Queen, Class Act, City Night Socialite, Daydreamer, Wedding Belle and Smoke Show, or a custom look built from the client's own mood board. Express options cover a quick face, lash application, lash with liner, lip and powder touch ups, and brows only. Makeup on the Go brings a makeup artist to the client's location, and services and pricing vary by location. At some locations, nail and waxing services are also available.

Bridal and group work is a large part of the business. Blo Bridal provides hair and makeup for the bride and bridal party, either in the bar or on location at a hotel, reception or chosen venue, and can cover engagement photos, showers, bachelorette parties and the wedding day. Blo Party hosts bachelorette and bridal showers, baby showers, holiday parties and birthdays for adults and children. Birthday parties are offered for children 5 and up, tweens and teens, and the space is also used for fundraisers, networking events and product launches.

Clients can join the Mane Squeeze membership, a monthly plan whose fee varies by location. It includes two blow outs a month, or four with the four-pack, along with discounts on extra blow outs, makeup and retail products, and a free blow out in the member's birthday week. A separate version, Mane Squeeze for Extensions or Extended Time, suits clients with bonded extensions or hair that needs a longer blow out. Blo Tabs and gift cards are also available.
