Best Waxing Studio, formerly known as SugarBaby Wax, sits just off the Eisenhower Avenue corridor in Old Town Alexandria. The studio describes its setting as discreet, friendly and clean, and says most of its clients return, come by referral or arrive through word of mouth. It serves clients from Alexandria, Arlington, Springfield, Washington DC and the wider Northern Virginia and Maryland area.

Visits are by appointment only. Clients can call or text (703) 518-8453 or book online, and gift cards can be bought through the booking profile.

The menu is grouped into Brazilian and bikini, face and brows, and body waxing, with separate lists for women and men. Full body waxing is listed at $299 for women (about 2 hours 45 minutes) and $360 for men (about 3 hours). Smaller services include a lip wax at $15 (about 5 minutes) and a brow wax at $21 (about 10 minutes). Standard bikini waxing is also called Life Saver waxing, and tight bikini waxing is called Tutti Frutti waxing.

Brazilian waxing has several versions: a prepaid series for clients who book a package of three or more, a sugar wax for first-time clients, a prenatal option for pregnant clients, and repeat visits priced by how long it has been since the last appointment. For the best results the studio asks that hair be at least a quarter inch long, and new clients who have recently shaved should allow about two weeks of regrowth. For brow waxing, clients who use acne medication, skin peels or retinols should mention it to their esthetician beforehand, as waxing may not be recommended.

Uses a plant-based, vegan wax, with gloves for every service and a no double-dipping policy.
