BELA Salon

BELA opened in spring 2020 and takes its name from the owner's grandmother, Olga, whom her grandchildren called Bela. The salon describes itself as an upscale, inclusive place without pretense, tucked into the San Marco neighborhood.

The space is bright, welcoming and curated, and guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, espresso drinks and wine during their visit. The team's combined experience and education is stated at more than 50 years. Color services begin with a Color History form that asks about recent color, hair type and front and back photos of the hair. Clients of color and extension clients are asked to follow the aftercare instructions their stylist gives them.

Cancellations and reschedules need at least 48 hours' notice; with less notice, the booked service is charged at 50%. Changing a booked service within 48 hours of the appointment carries a fee of half the original price. Illness reported with less than 48 hours' notice is charged at 50%, and clients are asked not to come in if they have symptoms. Refunds are not given, though one revision is offered if requested within two weeks of the appointment. Missed appointments without prior notice are charged the full service fee and can lead to a ban on future bookings. First-time clients read and sign the cancellation agreement and agree to the no call/no show policy before their first visit.
