Beck + Brix opened in May 2018 and is run by owner and stylist Amanda Bauer, who started doing hair in 2013 at Bob Roy. The team of stylists includes professionals with long careers in the beach cities, several of whom came over from Bob Roy Salon in Manhattan Beach.

The salon is open by appointment on Mondays and Sundays, with Tuesday hours from 9am to 6pm, Wednesday through Friday from 9am to 7pm, and Saturday from 8am to 5pm. Clients are asked to call for pricing and any special requests, and several services, including ombre, balayage, color correction, toner and extensions, are priced after a consultation.

Services are grouped into color, cuts, dry styling, specialty color work and treatments. Starting prices are listed for base color, partial and full highlights, cuts for each age and gender, blowouts, formal updos, wedding styling, conditioning treatments, gloss, keratin and Brazilian blowouts. A braid bar service is also offered at $45 for 15 minutes.
