The space is modern and warm, designed to feel less clinical than a traditional salon. Visits are by appointment only, and walk-ins are not accepted. Hours are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday 3 to 9 p.m. Card and debit payments carry a $2 service charge, and gift cards can be bought through a link on the website.

Before a service, estheticians do a quick consultation when skin has recently had a treatment. They trim hair that is longer than needed during the appointment and give personalized aftercare advice at each visit. The wax is a low-temperature hard wax formulated for sensitive skin, and the business says it uses only waxing and sugaring products it considers safe for skin.

Some clients cannot be waxed. The business does not wax clients currently taking Accutane or who took it within the past six months, and it does not wax areas treated with prescription topical exfoliants or certain antibiotics. After a chemical peel, microdermabrasion, or laser treatment, waxing of that area waits 7 to 14 days depending on depth. Skin that is sunburned, irritated, or has open wounds, an active cold sore, severe eczema, psoriasis, or an undiagnosed rash is not waxed. Mild skin conditions can often be worked around during a service.

For best results, hair should be about 1/4 inch long, usually reached 2 to 3 weeks after shaving, and most clients wax every 4 to 6 weeks. Before a first appointment, clients are asked to exfoliate 24 hours ahead and avoid sun and tanning lotions. Clients stop over-the-counter retinol, AHA, salicylic acid, or glycolic acid products on the area for 3 to 5 days beforehand, and pause topical retinoids 7 days before. Afterward, the area should be kept clean and protected from heat, heavy workouts, and tight clothing for 24 hours, then gently exfoliated 2 to 3 times a week with a daily moisturizer starting 48 hours after the visit. Spray tan clients arrive with clean, bare skin and avoid water and sweating until the first rinse.
