Wigs are a major part of the studio. Every wig is produced locally from donor hair or the client's own hair, in partial human hair, full human hair or full synthetic styles. Roughly three to five donations go into one wig, and partial wigs take about four weeks while full wigs take about eight. Donated hair is sorted by color, length and texture as it arrives, so donation timing is not set in advance. Donor hair is detoxed after assembly, and hair with lice is discarded. Donors can mail hair or drop it off at the salon, and donor and recipient identities are kept confidential. Clients receive a photo of the finished wig on display.
