Bangs & Boujee Salon opened in August 2018, founded by Rachel Good after she completed training at Toni & Guy Academy and spent time at a premium salon in north Stafford. The studio first operated out of a shared suite at Sola Salons, then relocated to a private studio at Allure Salon Suites in 2020. In early 2022 it opened a storefront in downtown Fredericksburg.

About

The salon describes itself as a boutique in the heart of Fredericksburg, and its work centers on blonding, bridal hair and hand tied extensions. Blonding starts at $95 for a mini blonding and $230 for a full blonding, and the color menu also includes balayage, single process color, corrective color, retouches and vivids, which are priced by the hour.

Bridal work is booked through a wedding inquiry, and a free consultation is available on the booking page. A quote is provided after the inquiry and is specific to the wedding date. The bridal package and travel fee are paid upfront as a nonrefundable retainer that secures the date. The bridal travel fee is $100 per 60 miles outside the salon, and bookings 150 miles or more away may be subject to further travel arrangements.

The salon is open Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 9am to 4pm and Tuesday from 9am to 6pm, and it is closed on Sundays. If a card on file declines or a fee is unpaid, future bookings are not allowed until the balance is resolved.

The salon centers on color and blonding alongside bridal work and hand tied extensions, with bridal quotes prepared for each wedding date.
