Visits can be in person at the Van Ness Avenue office, where the storefront sits directly on the street rather than inside CPMC Hospital, or virtually by telemedicine for California residents. Nearby parking includes street parking, the CPMC Hospital Garage and the Daniel Burnham Court Garage. Office hours are Monday, Thursday and Friday from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturday by appointment only, with Wednesday and Sunday closed. A free aesthetic assessment and a free 15-minute consultation with the physician are offered. The practice is cash-based and does not bill insurance, though superbills are available so clients can request reimbursement from their insurer. Insurance can be used for lab orders and prescriptions. Payment plans at 0 percent APR are available through RepeatMD and Affirm via the client rewards app, which also handles deals, product shopping, points and online booking.
The aesthetic menu leans on laser and peel work. Aerolase is an Nd:YAG laser treatment with no downtime and no numbing cream, used for acne and acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, redness, melasma, rosacea, scar revision, skin tags and stretch marks, and it can be booked as single sessions or packages. CoolPeel is a CO2 laser resurfacing treatment with 24 to 72 hours of downtime. The practice says it was named NewBeauty's Best CO2 Laser Treatment for four consecutive years, 2023 to 2026, and describes it as the gold standard in skin resurfacing. VI Peel is a medium-depth chemical peel offered in several formulas. It includes a built-in anesthetic, is applied in the office over four to five passes, and carries 3 to 4 days of downtime on the face and 7 to 10 days on the body.
Other options include Epicutis facials, clinical treatments of about 30 minutes with no downtime that cleanse, exfoliate and support the skin barrier; the Signature version includes an Epicutis Recovery Care Set for home use. Microneedling creates controlled microchannels to stimulate collagen and is offered for the face, neck, scalp, body, stretch marks and some scars, taking about an hour, with results expected within two weeks and further improvement over several months. Plasma therapies (EZGel, PRF and PRP) use a blood draw processed to concentrate growth factors, and are often paired with microneedling. Dermal fillers use FDA-approved hyaluronic acid and can be dissolved if needed. Tox injectables use botulinum toxin types Botox, Daxxify, Letybo and Xeomin, and take 15 to 20 minutes.
The wellness side offers integrative healthcare that combines natural and modern medicine, including management of chronic conditions, primary care, weight management and gut health. Services include general labs, specialty labs such as hormone panels and GI mapping, in-office EKGs, annual DEXA scans and GLP prescription management. The wellness membership is $499 per month with a six-month minimum and includes 12 annual visits: one initial one-hour visit and eleven 30-minute follow-ups, with telemedicine visits scheduled within 48 hours. Members receive 10 percent off aesthetic treatments at the San Francisco location, $400 off a Prenuvo full-body MRI, and at least 25 percent off supplements and protein powders through Fullscript. Referrals to outside nutrition and fitness providers, Nourish360 LLC and MooreStrength, are also offered.
