AV Esthetics is a skincare studio in Suite A-1 at 6155 Oak Street in Kansas City. The studio is open Tuesday through Friday and on Saturday afternoons, and it is closed on Mondays and Sundays. Services cover facials, brow and lash work, chemical peels, SkinPen microneedling and skin consultations.

The studio is owned and run full time by Ashley Veurink. She spent 12 years in marketing before moving into skincare full time, and the business is built around one-on-one care with her as the esthetician.

New clients are asked to start with a skin consultation before a chemical peel, and a consult can also lead into a facial. The consult fee is credited toward the service it leads to. For a first facial, the Customized option is the one the studio recommends for anyone new or unsure what their skin needs, and the price can shift with the treatments used. The final total is confirmed with the client before the treatment goes ahead.

The facial menu runs from The Standard, which covers cleansing, exfoliation, extractions as needed, massage, a mask and finishing products, to The Standard Glow, which adds dermaplaning to remove peach fuzz and dead skin. The Acne facial is a customized treatment that can add microdermabrasion or high frequency, and it finishes with an O2 treatment. The booking site notes that monthly facials give the most benefit for acne, although single appointments are welcome. Glow on the Go is a shorter 35-minute dermaplaning facial with cleansing.

The brow and lash menu includes brow waxing, brow lamination, semi-permanent brow and lash tinting, lash lifts with or without tint, and a full brow treatment that combines a wax, lamination and tint. Packages and gift cards are sold through the booking site, and Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment.

Each service is adjusted to what the client's skin needs that day and season. The studio aims to teach clients a skincare routine they can realistically keep up, with care in the studio and at home.
