Clients book through Square and need a credit card on file to schedule any service. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours ahead; later cancellations are charged half the service cost. No-shows are charged 75% of the service cost to the card on file, and repeat no-shows may be blocked from booking. Arriving 15 minutes late may shorten the appointment to fit the next slot, and arriving 20 minutes late means the visit is rescheduled and the no-show charge applies. A client who is sick may reschedule once without a charge, though repeated use of this may lead to charges. New clients get a free consultation, as do current clients who want a change in their look. A $20 charge applies only to last-minute cancellations or no-shows. The studio says it replies to contact messages within 48 hours.

Austin's Chair offers a complimentary adjustment appointment within 4 days if a client is unhappy with their hair, but refunds or partial refunds are not given. An additional product fee may apply if the requested look goes beyond what was discussed at the consultation.

Blonding and color make up a large part of the menu, including full and half highlights, lowlights, face frame highlights, glossing, and the Lived In Blonde service, which is a longer appointment that bundles lightener, treatment, gloss, haircut, blowout and style. Haircuts, blowouts, clipper cuts and bang work are also offered, along with extension services and several hair treatments aimed at buildup from hard water, metals and pool water.

Each visit begins with a consultation so the look is agreed before any service, with the same standard applied to new and returning clients.
