Athina is an independent hairstylist based in Chicago who currently works out of SPACE by Alex Brown. Athina built technical and artistic skills under Alex's mentorship and reports about ten years of experience in the hair industry. The work centers on cutting, styling, keratin treatments and hair extensions, with the aim of polished looks that are easy to keep up day to day.

Bridal services begin with a bridal trial, an in-salon appointment at $250 to talk through the wedding day and choose a style. The bridal style service at $300 covers the wedding day itself or wedding photos. Special event hairstyling is $150 for a one-hour appointment and covers glam waves, updos and down styles. Hair should be dry and clean for event styling, and frizzy or unruly texture may need smoothing first, which can add time and a possible extra charge. Everyday services include haircuts, which come with a blowdry and heat styling, and standalone blowdries. Kids cuts are $55 for a 45-minute appointment and are booked for children Athina has already seen. An extra-time option is available for clients with thick hair.

Extension work covers several methods. New extension clients book a consultation before any installation, and the consultation covers tape-in and keratin fusion options at no charge. When booking, clients email the extension type they want, photos of their current hair and color, and the look they are hoping for. Tape-in hair is $18 per piece for lengths 18 inches or shorter and $20 per piece for 20 inches or longer, plus $30 per piece for application. K-tip application for one pack is $175, and K-tip hair is sold by the bundle from $150. Clip-in fitting and cutting is $100 for clients who already own clip-ins, whether bought from Athina or elsewhere, and blends them with natural hair; clients arrive with clean, freshly washed hair. Placing clip-ins to enhance a style is an additional fee. Extension removal starts at $100 and depends on time and the number of extensions, and includes a wash and rough dry only, so a style needs a separate booking. Re-installation appointments last about two hours, with pricing that varies.

The Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatment is listed from $175 and can rise to $400 if more product is needed. It can be applied to the hairline, just the ends, the top layer or all over, and it is meant to keep hair frizz-free for three to four months. Treatments are offered on Mondays; other days require emailing the salon. Clients should leave 10 to 14 days between a Brazilian Blowout and a color appointment. Gift cards are sold as eGift cards in $5, $10, $20, $50 or custom amounts.
