Ash Salon began as Hopson James Salon. In 2021 Nicki Little took over the business, renamed it and rebranded it as Ash Salon. The team now includes stylists and estheticians, several of whom have long careers in hair and skin.

Hair services cover all-over color, root color, lived-in color, highlights, lowlights, glosses, balayage, foilayage, ombre and corrective color. Cutting and styling includes women's and men's haircuts, wash and blow dry, and updos. Hair extension installs and move-ups are also offered.

BHM LASH is a lash studio inside the salon, offering lash extensions, lash lifts and tints, and extension removal. Brow services include tinting, lamination and waxing, and waxing is also offered for lip, chin and bikini. Skin services include microblading, hydrafacials, facials, dermaplaning, chemical peels and airbrush spray tans.

The studio lists hours on Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and it is closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The salon states it was featured in the About Town Magazine Women in Business issue.

The salon says its aim is personalized looks, from pixie cuts to bobs to long layers, and offers a free consultation before booking hair, makeup, permanent makeup or lash services.
