About

The practice is a privately owned dermatology office in Arlington and is not part of a corporate group. Dr. Angela Yen Moore leads it, and nurse practitioners and a physician assistant on the team work with her on dermatology concerns. The practice says its first goal is skin health, with skin appearance following from overall health.

Patients of all ages are seen, from infants and children with eczema, dry skin, birthmarks and rashes to adults and older patients. Medical care covers acne, actinic keratosis, sun-damaged skin, melasma, psoriasis, rosacea, moles, skin tags and skin cancer, along with allergy patch testing and nutritional care. Men are seen for hair loss, nail concerns and body hair removal.

Cosmetic services include injectables: Botox Cosmetic for frown lines, crow's feet and forehead lines, Juvederm for facial wrinkles and folds, and Kybella for fat below the chin. Light and energy-based options include Blue Light treatment, Fotofacial or XPL for redness and rosacea, Pelleve for deep lines, laser hair removal, and a Spectra laser for tattoo removal and dark spot treatment. Unwanted spider veins are treated with sclerotherapy or Nd:YAG laser. Microdermabrasion and microneedling address texture, acne scars and neck wrinkles.

Cosmetic Consultants meet with patients at no charge to talk through skin-care needs and treatment options. Cosmetic staff are trained by Dr. Moore. The practice sells medical-grade skin care that Dr. Moore selects, which is not found in retail stores, and buying it is optional. The practice also takes part in active and upcoming clinical research studies, which it says may provide free medication and treatment to eligible patients.

A visit can include family members, since exam rooms are large enough for someone to join. Prescriptions are sent electronically to the patient's pharmacy. The patient portal shows lab and pathology results, upcoming appointments and billing statements, and lets patients message providers or request refills. Televisits are available for virtual appointments, and new patient forms can be downloaded before a first visit.

Skin health comes first at the practice, with the goal that skin looks its best as a result of a healthy body. Dr. Moore manages patient care, and the nurse practitioners and physician assistant work with her as a team.

A lobby set up for families, with a children's play area, teen reading material and large-screen TVs for adults.
