Shawntae Bryant founded the studio in 2019. Its stated mission is to help women of all ethnicities express their personal style through hairstyles made for them, and to put an emphasis on teaching proper natural hair care.
The menu covers a wide range of work. Color options include partial and permanent color, color correction, color removal and a demi-permanent gloss paired with a silk press. Highlights are offered for short hair. For textured hair there are relaxer services, a natural hair thermal refresh, a cleanse and scalp treatment with protective styling, and full chemical smoothing for natural or unprocessed hair. Sew-ins, crochet installs and closure installs are available, along with extension removal, deep cleansing and extension maintenance.
New clients need a consultation before any chemical service. The first 15 minutes are free, then consultations are billed at $15 per 30 minutes, and $5 per 10 minutes after the first half hour. Chemical services cannot be done right after extension removal. Many services require a 40% non-refundable deposit at booking.
Arrival is expected on time. Clients more than 5 minutes late have a 5% late fee added to the service, and after 10 minutes they are asked to reschedule. Cancellations made less than 24 hours ahead carry a 75% fee. Clients who miss an appointment must pay for the missed service before booking again. Children are welcome only when they are being serviced, and anyone who feels unwell is asked to reschedule. Sew-in extra bundles are $40 each, the Luxe Retouch & Style Experience carries a $15 fee if more than 5 to 6 months have passed since the last touch-up, and the Relaxed Silk Refresh may have an added fee for long hair.
The studio is open Thursday and Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. It is closed Monday through Wednesday and on Sunday.
The studio puts education on proper natural hair care first and aims to make each style personal to the client.
