AR salon

AR salon is on Pacific Coast Highway in Hermosa Beach, in Suite 29 at 1601, a short walk from the pier and overlooking the beach. Owner and director stylist Arnil Pabalan opened the salon in 1999. The salon describes itself as the largest and most updated salon in the Southbay, and says it has been voted Southbay's Best Hair Salon over several years.

Haircuts are shaped for each client's individual style and hair type, for men and women alike. Color is personalized, with hand-painted balayage and highlights and ombre among the options. Chemical smoothing services include the Brazilian Blowout and the Coppola Keratin treatment, both described by the salon as advanced treatments. Airbrush makeup is also offered, and makeup artist Liz works on bridal, photo shoot, pageant, fashion show and headshot sessions.

A visit starts with a personal consultation to settle on the hairstyle and color that suit the client. The team includes stylists, color specialists and makeup artists, and the salon says it is committed to ongoing training and advanced education for them. The salon uses Hanz de Fuko, Schwarzkopf and Amika hair products, and a range of makeup brands for its makeup work.
