Gel work is done with Japanese gel polishes, and nail art is decorated with gems, studs, foils and other embellishments. Gel nail art is priced by tier, from Tier 1 at $5 per nail up to Tier 5 at $20 per nail, and a set price of ten nail art pieces with a gel solid color ranges from $110 to $250 depending on tier. Extensions use hard gel or acrylic, or a soft gel option called Apres, and removal is priced differently depending on whether the nails were done at AKIKO or elsewhere.

Hand and foot services include The Rush Hour, a quick trim, shaping and buffing option, along with AKIKO's Signature and The New York Deluxe, which add soaks, scrubs, masks, cuticle care, lotion and massage. The spa products are described by the salon as environmentally friendly, antioxidant and vitamin C filled, moisturizing and skin rejuvenating. Nails an inch or longer carry an extra fee starting at $15, and airbrush nail art adds $2 and up per nail.

The salon is open Monday to Wednesday from 11 AM to 8 PM, Thursday and Friday from 11 AM to 9 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 8 PM. Every appointment requires a completed pre-appointment form, and credit card details are needed at booking to secure a visit. Same-day appointments are booked by phone, and cancellations or reschedules need at least 48 hours notice. Groups of four or more need 72 hours notice and a 50% deposit. A 15 minute grace period applies, and the salon does not offer refunds, though a complimentary adjustment is offered within 7 days for issues with a nail service.
