BUBU NYC

Bubu NYC is a private, multi-concept space on Orchard Street, near traditional retail shops and food and drink spots. Under one roof it houses a studio, a bridal suite, a shop and a storefront. The business is a partner salon of R+Co, and it describes its hair work as bespoke color, precision cuts, and bridal and event services.

Hair services, champagne service, makeup and a touch-up kit are all booked a la carte. Hair appointments are led by the owner, Danielle Chiz, and colorist Tracy Davis.

The Studio is an artist space for independent and traveling stylists and beauty professionals. It has a pro chair, a shampoo bowl, a ring light and a full R+Co backbar, along with Wi-Fi, a sound system, refreshments and laundry. It holds up to 8 guests and can be rented privately or semi-private for videography, classes, content creation and private events. Studio hours are Monday to Saturday, 10am to 8pm, by appointment.

The Bridal Suite hosts the bride and a party of up to 12, or a stylist team, on the wedding day. Outside stylists and vendors are welcome there. Inquiries receive a tailored proposal within one business day.

The Storefront is a ground-floor shop with about 400 square feet of retail floor, a dressed display window and sidewalk access, on Orchard Street between Rivington and Stanton Streets. It can be rented daily, weekly or monthly with custom fit-out, and it suits product launches, meet and greets, brand pop-ups, sample sales, brand residencies, seasonal activations, private previews and trunk shows.

The bubu Shop sells R+Co Bleu Professional salon products in person, along with other hair products, tools, skin and scent products and studio-made objects. Shoppers can reserve a product to be set aside, and shopping consultations are offered in person or virtually. The full R+Co and R+Co Bleu Professional line can also be ordered online through an affiliate link.
