The owner no longer works on clients and now focuses on the client experience and on developing the team.

The salon describes itself as a modern hair studio in Grandview, a high-design space where stylists focus on personalized service. Columbus Monthly named it Best Salon, according to the salon, and Columbus Business First listed it among the Best Places to Work. The salon also states that its employee retention rate and stylist income potential are two to three times the industry standard.

Visits begin with a Face First Consulting process, which is designed to shape a look around each client's features; the consultation fee is $25. Services are booked by a tiered level system that reflects a stylist's experience rather than specialties. Color prices are starting prices and can rise depending on several factors. Guests can park privately. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice, and clients with more than two late cancellations or missed appointments may be asked to prepay. Hair that is tangled or matted and must be freed before a service carries a detangling charge. Late arrivals may have some or all services rescheduled. Children are only allowed in the salon with an appointment.

Stylists complete an in-house training program that lasts about a year, and they can begin working on the floor after three to four months. They are expected to travel for training at least once a year, and international educators visit throughout the year, including Vivienne Mackinder, Ruthe Roch and Sassoon. The salon uses Davines products and color lines, and a personal education fund for stylists is funded by 10% of each product purchase they make.
