About

A Silent Moment is a spa whose stated mission is to help clients regain balance within themselves through straightforward treatment rituals, with attention to health, beauty and spiritual balance. According to the spa, it was voted Best Spa in Long Beach, and it aims to become the city's top spa. It says its menu includes services comparable to those at elite spas worldwide, and it places a high value on client privacy. The facial menu is broad. Every first appointment begins with a customized skin assessment, and each treatment is tailored to the client. A basic facial includes a consultation, gentle cleansing, a treatment chosen at consultation and moisturizing, and a 30-minute customized facial is also offered. Facials address acne-prone skin, aging, rosacea and hyperpigmentation, and medical grade (MD) options are offered for acne, sensitive, rosacea-prone and post-procedure skin. Some treatments need a consultation first, including the Pure-Perfection Acne Facial and the Garden of Youth facial, which includes aftercare and a follow-up collagen treatment three days later. Back and body Pure Perfection treatments are priced at consultation.

Body treatments include wraps, scrubs and massage. Body wraps include an infrared wrap, an organic cellulite wrap, a Blueberry Soy Slimming wrap that runs 90 minutes and combines Swedish massage with an infrared wrap, a 45-minute botanical Skinny Wrap, and a Detoxifying Thai Body Wrap with massage. Clients are advised to drink water during and for three days after the Skinny Wrap. Massage styles include Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, lymphatic drainage, sports, prenatal and postpartum, along with a head, neck and shoulders massage that uses essential oils and aromatherapy.

Weight management programs include a one-week, two-service option listed at $699 and a three-week, six-treatment Tone and Firm program listed at $1,800. The Tone and Firm program combines lymphatic massage, cryolipolysis on two areas, ultrasonic cavitation, RF slimming, a botanical cleanse and a meal guide. The spa states that results vary and advises clients to consult a primary physician before starting any new program, and that its cellulite treatment is not a weight loss treatment. Specialty therapies include cranial-sacral therapy, visceral manipulation, lymphatic drainage, and circulation and arthritis treatment. Guided meditation sessions blend aromatherapy, sounds and visualization with Qi gong movements, breathing techniques, transcendental mantra meditation and chakra-balancing.

Memberships are month-to-month with auto-renewal and no contracts, and can be cancelled at any time. The VIP Membership is listed at $149 per month and VIP+ at $189 per month. Members receive 10% savings on additional spa services and regular priced inventory, plus a 30-minute infrared oxygen sauna, a face treatment, a 30-minute massage and PEMF therapy. Appointments are by appointment only and require a valid credit card to reserve. Cancellations need 48 hours' notice, and a $49 fee applies to no-shows or shorter notice. The listing also states a 100% cancellation charge on holidays and weekends. Gift cards can be used on any treatment, and a progressive loyalty program is offered.

Treatments aim to restore balance through simple rituals, using organic, herbal products that are blended fresh for each visit. Each treatment is customized to the client's needs.

A third-party profile describes the setting as serene.
