Vera Mikhaylik

Vera Mikhaylik owns Vera Salon and works as a hair extension specialist. She completed cosmetology school the summer after high school graduation, has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2005, and holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Washington.

She spent about 15 years working in Seattle before expanding the business to Austin in 2020, and she opened the downtown salon about two and a half years later. She has more than 10 years of experience applying extensions. She is a Certified Great Lengths Platinum Artist, a title held since 2016, and a Certified Invisible Cold Extensions Artist. Her specialties include luxury extensions and color, with Keratin and ICE methods, blondes and restorative care.

Her training includes ICE in New York, Great Lengths Keratin and Tape-In in Las Vegas, Tape-In and Hand Tied Weft through Hair Talk, Brazilian Blondes with Romeu Felipe in Berlin, and color classes through Wella, Shades EQ and Goldwell Advanced Color in Seattle. She has also studied balayage and shadowing with Kristen Lumiere in Austin and Seattle, business coaching with Tiffany Scott, Unapologetic Hair Pro Coaching with Ashley Diana, and beauty coaching through the 901 Salon Owner's Luncheon. She is a founding member of Rich Stylist Academy and Hair Extension Pro Academy, and a Global Community Certified Rich Stylist Coach. She teaches extension classes that cover technique, tools, pricing, ordering and hand and body placement.
