Vera M

Vera M owns Vera Salon in Austin, Texas, where she works as a stylist and certified extensions and color artist. She has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2005, after finishing cosmetology school the summer following high school. She also earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Washington, and she did hair and makeup work before, during and after college.

She lived and worked in Seattle, Washington for about 15 years before expanding to Austin in 2020, and she opened the salon there about two and a half years after moving to the city. Clients have traveled to her from Washington, New York, California, Colorado, South Carolina and Texas for extension work.

Her focus is luxury hair extensions and color, including lived-in and sun-kissed highlights, custom individual strand extensions, keratin and ICE methods, blondes, and restorative care. Her training includes Great Lengths keratin and tape-in extensions in Las Vegas, ICE in New York, Brazilian blondes in Berlin, and balayage with Kristen Lumiere in Austin and Seattle. She is also a founding member of Hair Extension Pro Academy and of Rich Stylist Academy, where she is a Global Community Certified Rich Stylist Coach.
