Susie Smith

Susie Smith founded Makin' Waves Salon and works as a hair extension stylist there. She is a licensed cosmetologist. She started working in nails in 1988 and made hair extensions her primary business in 1997, and she has offered extension services for over two decades. Her work has included celebrities, rock stars, actresses and models, including at concert venues and on tour buses.

She is certified in 11 methods of hair extensions, including Great Lengths, Hair Dreams, Hair Talk, Dreamcatchers, Cinderella Hair and microbead weft methods, and is certified by Dome of London. She is also certified in non-surgical hair replacement and offers custom toppers, including toppers that stay on for four weeks and clip-on toppers. She prefers the Hair Dreams Micropoint and Hair Talk brands. In 2011 she founded Hollywood Hair Extensions, a business focused on education for licensed cosmetologists, and she founded the Hollywood Hair Extensions School. She coordinates wedding appointments for Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
