Stephanie Mitchell

Stephanie Mitchell is a Doctor of Optometry at Sea View Optometry. She began as an intern there in the early 2000s, working under Dr. Mark Bisson and Dr. Krzysztof Gwizdak early in her career. When Dr. Bisson retired in 2015 and Dr. Gwizdak took over the practice, she was selected to carry on its patient care. She is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach and pursued further training at the Southern California College of Optometry, now Marshall B. Ketchum University. Her clinical work includes the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center and the Downtown LA VA Clinic, and she has gained experience in pediatric optometry, ophthalmology and refractive surgery centers. She is nationally certified in treating and managing ocular diseases and holds a glaucoma certification from the California State Board of Optometry. She takes a particular interest in refractive surgery and enjoys discussing its benefits with patients.
