Sarah Kennedy, MD

Sarah Kennedy, MD is a board-certified plastic surgeon practicing at North Atlanta Plastic Surgery's Alpharetta location and serving the Atlanta area. She works with Dr. Amy Alderman and Dr. Aida Joiner. She passed the oral examination of the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2024.

Her six-year integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency took place at the University of Michigan, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident in her final year, leading residents and organizing the training program. She earned her medical degree from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, finishing at the head of her class. As an undergraduate at Vanderbilt University she double majored in Neuroscience and Medicine, Health and Society.

During residency she gave presentations at national meetings and published articles on breast surgery. She received the Michigan Plastic Surgery MacNguyen Research Fund for research assessing breast reconstruction outcomes among underserved women in sub-Saharan Africa. She also received a Making a Difference award from University of Michigan Health System staff, teaching awards from medical students, and medical school honors: the Faculty Choice Award, Excellence in Clinical Skills Award, Academic Excellence Award and UCF College of Medicine Dean's Award. Memberships include Omicron Delta Kappa, Order of Omega, Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
