Aida Joiner

Aida Joiner works as the anesthesiologist at North Atlanta Plastic Surgery & The Spa at NAPS, an Alpharetta practice she helped launch in spring 2018 with Dr. Amy Alderman. She is board-certified in anesthesiology. Her role covers consultation and anesthesia for patients at the practice who need sedation or general anesthesia for a procedure, with an emphasis on outpatient plastic surgery. She earned her biochemistry degree from the University of Georgia, graduating cum laude, and was admitted early to the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine. Her training began with a rotating surgical internship that exposed her to several surgical subspecialties. She then completed an anesthesiology residency at Emory University and its affiliated hospitals, including Grady Memorial, Crawford Long, Egleston Children's and the Atlanta Veterans hospitals. Before co-founding the practice with two colleagues to concentrate on outpatient surgery, especially plastic surgery, she spent ten years working in hospitals across metro Atlanta.
