About
Parag Gandhi is a board-certified oculoplastic surgeon and the owner of Maryland Eye & Face, which he started in 2020. He has practiced ophthalmology and oculofacial plastic surgery for over 15 years. Before opening his own practice, he had a consultative and surgical practice at Duke Eye Center in Winston-Salem, NC, and was an Assistant Professor at Duke University and faculty at its School of Medicine.
He earned his medical degree and completed his ophthalmology training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. He then completed a fellowship in oculofacial plastic surgery through a program sponsored by ASOPRS, and he is fellowship-trained in oculofacial and orbital surgery. He is board-certified in both oculoplastic surgery and ophthalmology. Eyelid surgery is his main specialty, and he also offers skin care and laser treatments for rejuvenation and aesthetic concerns. He is a member of the American Society of Laser Medicine & Surgery.
He is an active member of ASOPRS, has served on several of its committees, and is currently co-chair of its Global Health Committee. He teaches, serves on medical committees, and has been an invited speaker at national and international conferences. His articles have appeared in peer-reviewed medical journals, and he has authored book chapters. He has performed surgery and taught on humanitarian mission trips abroad. He received the American Academy of Ophthalmology Achievement Award in 2019.
