About
Moustafa Mourad founded MouradNYC, a physician-led facial plastic and reconstructive surgery practice, and performs every operation there, overseeing each patient from consultation through recovery. He holds an MD and FACS and is dual board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at New York Medical College on the Clinician Scholar Pathway. He also serves as Fellowship Director for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, where he trains fellowship-level surgeons. He earned an honors degree in bioinformatics from the University of Alberta and a medical degree with First Class Distinction from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He completed a surgical internship in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery at Beth Israel Hospital in New York, followed by a residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, where he served as chief resident. A facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at Baylor All Saints under Dr. Yadranko Ducic followed. His work includes primary and revision rhinoplasty, restoring nasal airway function, and sinus surgery. His septoplasty work addresses the septum, nasal valves, turbinates and sinus history, and he also repairs broken noses. On the facial side he performs deep-plane, SMAS, limited and revision facelifts, selecting the approach at evaluation, as well as neck procedures for jowling, lower-face descent and neck laxity. He takes on reconstructive surgery after trauma or oncologic resection and regularly evaluates complex revision cases, including patients who were told elsewhere that surgery would be unusually difficult. He believes the most lasting aesthetic results come from patient education rather than persuasion. He has written the textbook Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (first edition, 2019), co-authored Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery: Concepts, Questions, Answers for Jaypee Brothers, and has more than thirty peer-reviewed publications and textbook contributions. He is the medical reviewer for the practice's educational content, including its rhinoplasty material. Modern Luxury named him Best Rhinoplasty in its Best of Manhattan 2026 medical category. He is listed as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in Plastic Surgery for 2026. Patients describe a first visit that does not feel rushed.
