About

Michael Leonida serves as Artistic Director of Salon Michael Domenic, which he opened in October 2015 following 16 years in the hair industry. He started out in Boston in 1999, training his precision cutting and styling at two Boston salons. Outside the salon, he has been an L'Oreal Educator, travelling to teach stylists cutting and styling techniques for the L'Oreal, Shu Uemura and Kerastase lines. He also styles for fashion and works as an art director. His creative projects have been published on the covers of Improper Bostonian and Scout Cambridge, and his work has appeared on runways at New York and Boston Fashion Weeks. He has created signature hairstyles for Herve Leger, Emily Muller, Marc Jacobs, Mike and Ton, Yuna Yang, Yigal Azrouel, Sonia Rykiel and Betsey Johnson. Scout Magazine Cambridge named him Best Haircut in 2018.
