Matt owns Balance the Salon. He began a cosmetology apprenticeship at Chas Hair Design in 1984 and received his cosmetology license in 1986.
He spent thirteen years as a stylist and educator for Lola Jones, Inc., where he helped train new talent. He later worked three years as a Regional Design Artist for Sebastian International, educating across the Mid-Atlantic area.
His training includes education at Sebastian International in Woodland Hills, Modern Organic Products education at Art + Science in Chicago, and time at Vidal Sassoon in Miami. He also took local toni & guy and American Crew classes and videos.
