Marisa A Braun, MD

Marisa A. Braun, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon who sees patients at the Washington, DC and Alexandria, VA offices of Braun Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center. She is also a faculty member at George Washington Dermatology. She earned her medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and trained in dermatology at George Washington University, where she served one year as chief resident. A fellowship in Mohs surgery and procedural dermatology followed at the Medical University of South Carolina. She attended Princeton University before medical school. She is board-certified in dermatology and in micrographic dermatologic surgery (Mohs surgery). Her work centers on Mohs and procedural dermatology, with a particular interest in skin cancer and facial aesthetics. She removes skin cancers and performs the reconstruction that follows, and she also performs hair transplant procedures. On the cosmetic side, she offers PRP injections, neurotoxin injections, and filler treatments. The practice describes her as known for a gentle bedside manner, skilled hands, and a grasp of facial structure and anatomy. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Washington DC Dermatological Society, and the Women's Dermatologic Society.
