John Vartanian, M.D.

John Vartanian, M.D. is a facial plastic surgeon with double board certification and more than 20 years of practice, focused exclusively on the face for over two decades. He is certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. His focus is aging face surgery and rhinoplasty, including facelifts, neck lifts, facial rejuvenation and revision facelift work. According to the website, he is nationally recognized and has been featured in the media.

His facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship was under Dr. Frank Kamer. His head and neck surgery residency and general surgery internship were at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center, where he trained with Drs. Eugene Tardy, Dean Toriumi and Gary Burget. He received a medical degree with honors from Chicago Medical School, plus a master's in physiology, and holds a B.S. in biology from the University of California, Irvine. He has advanced training in laser treatments and non-surgical cosmetic techniques.

He is an assistant clinical professor at UCLA and a clinical instructor at USC, teaching physicians at both medical centers. For three years he shared teaching of an advanced nasal diagnosis course presented at the yearly gathering of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. He has been a co-investigator on several FDA studies of aesthetic injectables and developed a virtual reality model of nasal anatomy used in physician training.
