Ivar E. Roth, DPM, MPH, founded Concierge Podiatry & Spa in Costa Mesa, where he practices as a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He has more than 40 years of experience in podiatric medicine and surgery, has practiced since 1985, and has treated patients throughout Orange County. He completed his undergraduate degree at Cal State Fullerton, graduated from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine, and earned a Master of Public Health from the University of Illinois. His three-year foot and ankle surgery residency under Dr. Lowell Weil at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago included service as chief resident. Early in his career, Dr. John Homan, a Newport Beach sports medicine specialist, trained and mentored him. He was the first podiatric surgeon granted full surgical privileges at Hoag Hospital, where he has been on active staff since 1985. He also founded the Orange County Chapter of the American Academy of Private Physicians and led it as its first president. His work covers foot and ankle surgery, including minimally invasive MiniLock bunion correction for qualified patients, and treatment of nail fungus (onychomycosis), for which he created the Nailcur program. He also developed the NeuropathyCur program, offers orthotic evaluations and FootAlign consultations, and pioneered the Paincur pain treatment. Many of his patients have foot or ankle conditions that have not fully responded to conventional treatment. Over the past decade-plus, he has added regenerative stem cell therapies, including in-office autologous stem cell harvest and application, and he is one of the few podiatric surgeons in Orange County who perform autologous stem cell harvest and application directly.
