Dr. Timothy R. Miller

Dr. Timothy R. Miller founded Refreshed Aesthetic Surgery & SkinCare in Aliso Viejo, and he limits his work to aesthetic treatments of the face and neck. He has practiced in Orange County since 2005, starting at Facial Aesthetic Concepts in San Clemente before joining the Aliso Viejo practice in December 2013. He holds hospital appointments at Saddleback Memorial Hospital in Laguna Hills and at the practice's own surgery center.

His training includes a medical degree from the University of California, Davis School of Medicine, a five-year residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, and a fellowship in facial plastic surgery with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is double board certified, and the practice says fewer than 1,200 surgeons nationwide hold both of his certifications. He has published in JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery, including a paper on blepharoplasty that repositions fat below the eyes, and he lectures often at national meetings and symposiums. The practice describes him as a 2016 Orange County Medical Association Physician of Excellence, says the Orange County Register named him Best of OC for Cosmetic Surgery, and says he was listed among RealSelf 100 top social influencers in cosmetic medicine. The practice also calls a clinical trial he designed on skincare after laser treatments award-winning.

His surgical work centers on facelifts using a high-SMAS deep plane technique, mini facelifts, neck lifts, and upper and lower eyelid surgery, which can be combined with other procedures. For lower lids he repositions fat rather than cutting the eye muscle. He also performs rhinoplasty with an emphasis on keeping the nose working normally, and he administers the practice's laser procedures, dermal fillers and injectables. Each new patient meets him in person at the first visit, and he builds a treatment plan around their goals, sometimes combining treatments. He uses 3D imaging to track volume changes over time. He has also created a line of medical skincare that the practice describes as non-invasive, and he has studied and tested topical skincare products.

He participates in FACE to FACE: The National Domestic Violence Project, which helps people who cannot afford treatment for facial injuries.
