Dr. Miller

Dr. Miller is a facial plastic surgeon who founded Refreshed Aesthetic Surgery & SkinCare in Aliso Viejo, where he has practiced since December 2013. From 2005 to 2013 he practiced at Facial Aesthetic Concepts in San Clemente, and he has practiced in Orange County since 2005. His work centers on face and neck procedures, with eyelid surgery and face and neck lifts as his main areas of focus. Earlier in his career he worked in the California natural gas and oil drilling industry, from 1984 to 1993.

He trained at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine, completed an otolaryngology and head and neck surgery residency and a general surgery internship, and then a fellowship in facial plastic surgery through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is double board-certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery. The business says fewer than 1,200 surgeons nationwide hold that dual certification.

He has published in scientific journals, including a 2016 article in JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery on long-term volume after fat repositioning for lower blepharoplasty, and the business says he has also written on SMAS facelift techniques. He lectures on facelift, neck lift and eyelid techniques, including a 2019 facelift presentation at the AAFPRS Annual Meeting and recurring faculty work for the Vegas Cosmetic Surgery Masters Seminar. He received the John Orlando Roe Clinical Research Award from the AAFPRS in 2005 and the Orange County Medical Association Physician of Excellence award in 2016. The Orange County Register lists a Best of OC cosmetic surgery award for him, and the site calls him one of the best facial plastic surgeons in Orange County.

He also performs non-surgical laser procedures and has designed a clinical trial testing skincare products after laser treatments, which the practice calls award-winning. The practice says he has created a line of non-invasive skincare treatments. He takes part in FACE to FACE: The National Domestic Violence Project, which helps people who cannot afford treatment for facial injuries.
