About

Dr. Martin O'Toole is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder of Pasadena Cosmetic Surgery, which he started in Pasadena in 1988. He earned an undergraduate degree in biological sciences from UC Irvine and a medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine in 1988. He then trained for six years in general surgery at Huntington Memorial Hospital, serving as chief resident, and became board certified in general surgery during that training. Plastic and reconstructive surgery training followed at Texas A&M University College of Medicine and Scott & White Medical Center, covering breast, body, facial, microvascular, cranio-facial and hand surgery.

He performs cosmetic and plastic surgery on the breasts, body and face, and his focus areas include breast surgery, body contouring, facial plastic surgery, and microvascular, cranio-facial and hand surgery. He also offers non-surgical options such as injectable fillers and laser therapies, and attends national conferences to keep current with techniques. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the California Society of Plastic Surgeons.

He serves as volunteer teaching faculty for the surgical residency program at Huntington Memorial Hospital. He started a program with the Pasadena Police Department offering volunteer tattoo removal for gang markings to former gang members who meet program requirements, and he has taken part in medical missions to South America, including El Salvador, to repair cleft lip and cleft palate in children. He is known for honesty, compassion and a patient-centered approach.
