Dr. Mario Rueda

Dr. Mario Rueda is a general and vein surgeon at Precision Medical Specialists, with MD and FACS credentials. He treats spider veins, reticular veins and varicose veins across the face, body, arms and legs, using both non-surgical and surgical methods. His vein work includes sclerotherapy, laser treatment, ablation and surgery. His surgical background also includes trauma, general surgery and intensive care.

He earned his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Miami and graduated summa cum laude. He completed a surgical residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he was chief resident, and further critical care and trauma training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is a board-certified surgeon and critical care physician and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has served as an attending physician at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

He is Director of Critical Care ICU at St. Mary's Hospital and trauma medical director for Palm Beach County. He holds an appointment as Assistant Professor of Surgery at Florida Atlantic University and the University of Vermont. He has more than 15 years of surgical experience, over 5,000 procedures, and more than 10 years of complex invasive surgery. He has published peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. FAU Medicine named him Teacher of the Year 2019, and St. Mary's Medical Center gave him Best Physician awards in 2018 and 2019.
