Dr. Karan Chopra

Karan Chopra is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon practicing in Miami, and he also serves as a Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Miami. He completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital after training at Johns Hopkins, and he also trained at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Beginning in 2026, he has also held an Assistant Professor appointment on the Scholar Faculty of the FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. His fellowship work included a dual aesthetic and oculoplastic program under Dr. Mark Codner, plus advanced deep plane facelift training with Dr. Bryan Mendelson. That training centered on deep plane facelifts, ponytail facelifts, endoscopic brow lifts, and upper and lower blepharoplasty. His main focus is the deep plane facelift, deep neck lift, eyelid surgery and brow lift, with facelifts, neck lifts and blepharoplasty making up much of his caseload. He has written ten peer-reviewed publications and has contributed to many more. Other plastic surgeons frequently invite him to lecture. He received the Miller-Coulson Academy Award for Clinical Excellence, dated 2019, and the National Academy of Plastic Surgeons placed him among its Top 10 Plastic Surgeons in 2024 and 2025. He also received a 2023 Apogee Award in the Rising Star category from South Florida Business & Wealth and a 2023 Top Doctor listing from Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine. Surgeons and other medical professionals choose him for their own procedures.
