Dr. Day

Dr. Day is a doctor in the Dry Eye Center at East Main Vision Clinic in Puyallup, working as an optometric physician and optometrist. He graduated from Pacific University School of Optometry in 1986 and has practiced as an eye doctor in the Puyallup Valley for more than 30 years. He has also served as president of the Washington State Optometric Association.

His areas of specialty are dry eye management, glaucoma, and specialty contact lenses. He leads dry eye evaluations alongside specialists Katiee and Dani. He is a Functional Optometrist who looks at how the brain and eyes work together, along with vision and eye health. In exams he uses a microscope to check the front of the eye for dryness, allergies, and eyelid disease, and a digital retinal scan with dilation drops to look inside the eye for glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and other retinal conditions. He reviews symptoms with his team and decides whether Neurolens lenses are suitable.

Outside the exam room, he has served as treasurer of Jamie's Heart Foundation and gives educational talks to school nurses in local districts. He is one of the country's leading experts in his specialty areas.
