About
David A. Lee is a board certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at the practice. He holds board certification in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, and he is among the first Diplomates certified in that field. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology and of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He has been recognized as a Top Doctor since 2016. Lee began his education with a dual degree in Chemistry and Economics from Cornell University, graduating magna cum laude. He earned his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he finished in the top ten of his class, was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, and then completed a one-year clinical research fellowship in melanoma genetics. He did a transitional internship at Georgetown University's INOVA Fairfax Hospital and a dermatology residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was elected Chief Resident in Dermatology. He then completed a Procedural Dermatology Fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at SUNY Downstate School of Medicine, training directly with Dr. Daniel Siegel. He has written numerous peer-reviewed publications, including pieces in The New England Journal of Medicine. He treats melanoma and other rare skin cancers and has extensive experience in ear revision, including repairing problems that follow previous piercings. He is one of a few dermatologists in the region who can perform Mohs surgery. He often pairs neurotoxins with soft tissue fillers to treat deeper wrinkles, and he welcomes patients with concerns involving skin, hair, nails or mucosal surfaces.
